Link to the Catalogue
Non-alloy structural steels are the group of steel grades intended for manufacturing of various sorts of constructions, such as factory halls, bridges, parts of agricultural machines, sections, machine parts...
They are classified according to the minimum yield strength and also according to their toughness at prescribed temperatures. They have also high strength good elongation.
They must have good formability and good weldability.

Wear resistant steels
Some structures and parts are exposed to surface abrasion during their application. For that reason we use steels which have better wear resistance.
These steel grades have high yield strength, tensile strength and hardness which assure minor surface wear. The hardness of the material is quite good factor to estimate wear resistance.
Heavy plates made of these steel grades are intended for production of crushers, mills, sieves, containers for ore and coke, conveyors, cutters, loaders, mine and other transport devices, bulldozers, excavators, diggers, presses ...

High strength steels
There is a long tradition of production of high strength steel in Acroni. These are so called quenched and tempered steels, which means that the product is quenched and tempered at defined temperature before delivery.
High strength steels are used for parts of constructions where high yield strength, tensile strength, good tougnhess and good weldability are required. They are specially applicable in support structures of buildings, precise pipelines, cranes…They are also used in shipbuilding and oil industry (oil tanks).
In the past, these steel grades were produced in strengths up to 700 N/mm², but now we are capable to produce grades with yield strength over 960 N/mm².
